The “Slaughter Solution”, so named for Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) Chair of the House Rules Committee and Pelosi lapdog, is an unconstitutional scheme being employed to overcome the lack of votes needed to pass ObamaCare. In a nutshell, the bill will be “deemed” passed in the House without a direct vote.
Steve Schippert, a U.S. Marine from June 1985 to June 1993, including service during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, has an interesting piece at Threat Watch.

In “This We Will Defend”, Schippert writes, “There is tyranny afoot and it must be confronted and defeated with confidence, determination and passion. The confrontation is not about health care or any other piece of legislation. It is not about politicians, politics or parties. The confrontation is about process. The confrontation is about fidelity to the Constitution.”

Funniest Tweets of the Week: Political Pundit Jim Geraghty on Democrats… Pure Gold!

Gold, pure gold! While they may not strike you as particularly funny, and Jim may not have meant them to be either, humor is in the eye of the beholder.

Also, it’s pretty dang tough being funny about power-grabbing, Constitution-dismantling politicians when you’re limited to just 140 characters. You try it sometime.

OK, I know Barack “Nose Picker” Obama, “Dingy” Harry Reid, Janet “Incompetano” Napolitano, Nancy “Where’s My Scepter” Pelosi, and the rest of the Democrats in Washington, DC aren’t inherently funny, but some of these tweets from National Review Online journalist Jim Geraghty are hilarious, almost knee slappers. Here are a handful of my favorite Twitter releases from him this past week.

Good, Tough … And Even Cheaper

I’m on my third G-Shock, but my first one still works. It’s been 130 feet under the sea with me, attached to my ScubaPro BCD by a Velcro strap, because the only thing that has broken on any of my G-Shocks is the plastic strap, usually after six to eight years. Here’s my second one. It’s in the sock drawer, having a rest.

From the bottom of the North Atlantic, through blizzards high in the mountains of New England. (Through blizzards on the North Atlantic with mountainous 15-foot seas crashing on the bow, and scuba diving on the side of Mount Washington in mid-winter, now that I think of it.) Under fire from the terrifying cliff-hanging roads of Kashmir to burned-out Kosovar villages to the howling sands of ancient Uruq and the war-torn boulevards of Baghdad. Also, at the very Final Battleground of Good and Evil at Armageddon itself, on the eve of dread and terrible Millennium.

Perhaps more dire, at the Palestinian celebration of said Millenium in Bethlehem, where I survived being pelted by a panicked flight of symbolic peace doves, narrowly dodged a faceful of fireworks and successfully negotiated a crush of 20,000 Palos all trying to get out through the same ancient alleys at the same time.

All true stories. Even when I thought my time was up, thanks to my trusty Casios, I always knew what time it was.

Tea Parties, the Republican Party, and That Third Party Nonsense

to take our country back from the traitors and thieves who are trying to destroy it.

Historically, third parties don't do well in American politics, and I (for one of many) think that the crisis facing our country at this time is far more important than worrying about parties and what letter is after what name. It's anti-prog (not anti-incumbent, nor even ant... read more

Tea Parties, the Republican Party, and That Third Party Nonsense
For some reason there are still people who think that the Tea Party is an actual political party, or that it aspires to be.  It’s not a party, it doesn’t want to be a party, it’s a movement.  A movement is not a political party, though it can become one (and has, sort of, in Florida).  I agree with Karl Rove’s article in which he states:
The Republican Party and the tea party movement have many common interests right now. But they are, and should remain, distinct from one another. This is one instance when, if they merged, the sum would be less than the parts.
Republicans are trying, understandably to either co-opt or latch onto the Tea Party movement, but allowing that would stop the momentum before it even got going.  It would have a lulling affect on reps (why on earth would they continue the turn right if they can so easily absorb and silence the American people?), and it would be the end of our chance, our real chance,Read more at fuzislippers.blogspot.com

I have been toiling away on this blog in utter obscurity since March of 2008. No Sheeples Here was so named because of a quote attributed to Edward R. Murrow. Murrow was one of the most distinguished and renowned figures in the history of American broadcast journalism. Here’s what he said, “A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves.”
When I get emails from Smitty of The Other McCain and blogger buddy Dan Collins imploring “that [I] simply must take advantage of this opportunity”, I spring into action.

They depend on me to create Photoshop™ wizardry with political relevance and a whole lot of snark. I have been dubbed “the goddess of Photoshop™”.
