h/t Doug Ross. As the faces of the Democratic Congress Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid represent everything I find most reprehensible about the political class. First politicians have no class and second there should be no political class. I find it fundamentally offensive that there is an entire group of people who spend their lives confiscating the wealth created by others and giving to their allies. Pelosi, Reid, Murtha Kennedy and yes Obama have never spent a single day of their lives being productive. They have looted the productive efforts of better people than themselves and decided they knew better what to do with them. |
| It’s hard to pick among them for the biggest villain, and at least Kennedy had the common decency to die and deny them that 60th vote, but Reid has always made me ill. He is not bright, weak and arrogantly drunk with unearned power. He is petty, venal and pretty much any other invective you wish to employ.Read more at ace.mu.nu |
So it begins. President Obama’s paid thugs are now routinely assaulting taxpayers as directed by their leader. Remember? |
In Tucson, over 1,000 anti-socialized medicine protesters peacefully assembled, quietly listening to speakers until an anti-free speech thug disrupted the meeting. |
The man entered the meeting shouting, screaming and shaking a sign. |
When a man asked him to stop shouting and leave, the thug elbowed him in the face. |
It looks like a clear-cut case of assault and battery to me. |
A police officer removed the man from the meeting. |
Amidst recent controversy over what is perceived as support by AARP for Obama’s health care reform– a new player has emerged on the scene and they are ready to serve disgruntled seniors. According to the American Seniors Association website, ASA is “looking out for seniors by fighting a health care reform bill that will cost upward of $1.8 trillion over the next 10 years and cuts in Medicare of $500 billion.” |
The Atlanta-based American Seniors Association describes itself as a conservative grassroots advocacy organization whose mission is to “provide seniors with the choices, information, and services they need to live healthier, wealthier lives.” Additionally, in direct reference to the current health care debate, ASA has specified that it “wants seniors to live longer, more fulfilling years of life– not an ‘end of life’ continuum that this bill suggests.” |
And just to show they mean business, ASA has posted the following offer on their website: |
The national flag of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday. |
| Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.
Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country. Read more at www.chinadaily.com.cn |

Boston Globe, Senate field hinges on (Joe) Kennedy decision: |
Damn, I love working in a two-newspaper town. |
Among the questions that linger in the wake of U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s death are these: Who will head America’s most storied family now, and will the clan ever have the same clout again? |
| I’d go with “who cares?” and “no,” because this is America. But like Greenwald says, we might as well just embrace the royalty. Kennedys, Bushes, Clintons. |
| We sell a lot of newspapers off their dynastic posteriors. Then you got your Gore, the current Duke of Earl, Marquis of Gaia. Sir Arnold. |
Should the Environmental Protection Agency be required to publicly defend its finding that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare? |
In April, the EPA released a proposal concluding that carbon dioxide and other global warming pollutants cause health problems. Now the agency is poised to release the final version of that ruling. But the U.S. Chamber of Commerce argues that before the decision is finalized, EPA should be required to defend its scientific conclusions in front of an administrative law judge. Chamber officials and other critics claim that the Obama administration is suppressing internal agency studies that disagree with the proposed endangerment finding. |
Should the climate change data be reviewed in a public administrative law hearing? Would a public hearing make any difference? Or is the hearing request just an excuse to delay the agency’s climate change decision? |
| ObamaCare as it’s being called - Part One was
actually buried in the phony stimulus bill. |
| What,
you say? Yes, your member of Congress (and mine) pulled another fast one
and deceived all of us. Again. |
| The
creation of more worthless federal boards and councils were in the stimulus
bill and are now in place. According to Dr. Dave Janda: |
| It is the second part of The Health Care Plan which is now being
debated in Congress.” |
